Day with Thomas

A life-size Thomas? Oh yes, we saw the "BIG Thomas!" as Taffe called him.
Thomas pulled the train for a little jaunt up in Baltimore. Both boys thought it was fantastic.

The B&O Railway Museum was pretty cool on its own. Huge steam engines which were interactive. It was train heaven.

A day of trains, and rides, and seeing best pal Colin.... too perfect for this 2 year old!

Little Men on BIG trucks

At Public Works Day the Town of Vienna opened up thier facility to the public. The boys were able to drive all the big trucks: street sweepers, diggers, bulldozers etc.

This is Taffe driving a dump truck with Kingston overseeing his work.
Checking out the snow plow.

Up close to the digger.

A dream event for boys!

Last week Kingston hit the two month mark! He also weighed in at 13 lbs 2oz...83% percentile. Nice work, little K!
And big brother is being 2.... licking the spoon of nutella.

So Cool

The coolest Mother's Day gift?
Yep, a guitar. Taffe and I were equally excited. He ran laps around the house before settling down for a jam session. I can't play a single chord, but that doesn't seem to matter to Taffe or Kingston. I just strum and sing "Wheels on the Bus" and I have become just soooo cool.

Showers Bring the Flowers

My most helpful gardener... Taffe the Watering-Man. Give this kid some water, and he is happy! (Remind me of that during the next 2 yr old tantrum!) We spend lots of time in our garden, praying it will look as beautiful as before we moved in, and hoping Papa will be back soon to help us!!! :)
Taffe and Grandma have new game of making it rain.... pure delight!

The previous owners created an award winning garden. Yikes, the pressure! I am aiming to just keep everything alive, and to prune and weed enough so everyone can see the gorgeous perennials. Papa donated one new beauty: the Bleeding Heart. Already blooming!

I think these are irises. They are fragrant and I love them!

Clematis that no one can see since it's on the far side of the house... hated this scraggly plant last year. Now that it's in bloom, I get it!

Some type of peony bush. Oh, peonies, I love them!!! And we have about a hundred about to bloom! Can't wait!!! I feel like I should have a party just to show them off, but then I'd have to clean the house, and I can't be bothered. Sigh. Come around for a drive by though and we'll show you around the (outside of the ) house !

Sweet baby boys!

Race for Hope

Team GGG was out racing again for the 6th year! The Gerloff Goodman Girls walk and run in the Race for Hope in honor of 2 survivors...my mom, and Aunt Ceci's sister, Hannah. Hannah was a rockstar and was the 2nd female survivor finisher. Christopher also raced a super fast time. He was racing in with Uncle Farley, just a few minutes after we managed to walk across the packed start line. This year, Kingston, Taffe and I walked a shorter course with Grandma, as the it was quite a workout with one in the stroller and one in the carrier.

The boys with their survivor and grandma. (Taffe is probably searching for more post-race snacks.)
High-fives for cousin Charlie

Team GGG 2011!

Goal for next year... for me to run the race which I haven't done since the first year. due to pregnancies and infants. Yikes! Time to get laced up!
