1.5 years

Our "Baby" Kingston is a full year and a half! He is a full-on toddler with his mischievous smile as he climbs up on the ottomans or comes out of the pantry with a fist full of art supplies. Kingston wants to be in the mix with his bother and so the two are often rolling around the floor like lion cubs. His favorite toy is still the ball, and he loves to make baskets. He can say approximations of basketball, baseball, and big ball. Sports enthusiast for life, for sure! Kingston continues on his trend of having a big head (77th), taller than Taffe was (22nd) and slender (8th). While he is definitely a Mama's boy, and perfectly displays the epitome of separation anxiety, he also is quite into daddy as soon as he hears he keys in the door..."DADA!!!!" Kingston is quite the animal lover and snuggler to us...it's so qesome to see his personality take shape!
Big guy who goes where he pleases!

S'More Season

A zoo-fun birthday!

We celebrated Tommy's 1st birthday at the Zoo.  The boys all had a blast running after one another and checking out the animals.
Tommy is 1!

Where's your head?!

An attempt at a cousin picture!

20 and 33

Best birthday weekend!  33 seems pretty good, except according to Taffe I am now too old to drive! Despite my new driving limitations, we had a great morning at a park, followed by an afternoon beautifying, a huge rain storm (and new Thomas umbrella!) followed by a dinner date.

And how did I get to be 20 weeks along already?! Some pics of the boys and the belly. Of course, we forgot to get one of Christopher and I... but he was there, too!

Future Farmer?

Or maybe a veternarian, but Kingston's LOVE of all animals is very apparent.  Taffe even asked tonight why Kingston likes insects.
Taffe will not be in the animal care world... so hesitant, but he did stroke the goat's ear, after watching Kingston do it several times.
Kingston tried  to climb in with the pigs, goats, sheep, cows... they all seem pretty friendly to him.
Since our house is completely "trained-out"  a tractor might be just what we need for K!

Take Me Out to the Nats Game

After all the hype about the Nationals this season, we felt we should take the boys to experience our hometown team during a winning season. Let's be honest: we watched about 23 minutes of the game, and the rest of the time was spent entertaining the boys with all the fun things at Nats Park. Character sightings and photo-ops were super exciting.  Kingston loved all the big presidents and Taffe was thrilled to meet Screech!

We pretty much fed the kids the entire time in order to allow us a few moments to sit.  Ice cream was a huge hit for Taffe.
Kingston had his own oreos and super sugary smoothie.
One of Kingston's favorite parts of the game was the "Salute the Soldiers" with waving of the hats.  He LOVED this!

Not sure why Taffe was grumpy at this moment but it captures our 3 year old with his perfect pout.
 Another fantastic family photo!
