Memorial Day Happenings

What's not to love about the beach?  A ball that is large enough to roll around in, Funland, the sand... so many great things to do!

Grandma and Grandpa got a workout rolling the boys around.

Meeting Clifford downtown was a huge highlight for the boys!

Down at the beach, how the boys have changed!  Kingston is in the fearless phase in which he insisted on "More, ocean, more!" Where Taffe ran away as soon as his toes touched the wet sand.

Mae Ruth was extremely chill at the beach and just seemed happy to be, well, anywhere with us!

Four months & still in-love

Kingston is infatuated with his sister.  Seriously, can't get enough of her.  He is always looking for her and demands to know her whereabouts.  Kingston requests for her to be near him at meals and says "Hold baby!" I thought this love would fizzle, but it only continues to grow as Mae Ruth becomes more interactive.

At four months old, Mae Ruth logged in at 2 feet tall in the 77th percentile!  Who knew we could have a tall child?!

Spring on the Visitors!

A nice afternoon visit from Auntie Niki, or Auntie Mickey as Taffe has named her. Mae Ruth just loves getting one-on-one time, without those brothers squeezing in!

Cousins Suzy and Kelsey also came and stayed a couple of nights on the way back from Nashville.  The boys LOVED the extra attention and Kingston asked for Suzy and Kelsey muliple times after they left.

A few weeks later, Auntie Shannon came down for a visit.  Always nice to have an extra set of hands.  Taffe had an extra special afternoon at the mall with his auntie involving a 'real cupcake'.

Soccer Studs

Successful soccer season for both boys!  Kingston was the youngest child in the 2/3's class, but our natural athlete could keep up physically...he just totally missed the point of some of the multistep drills.  Kingston is a rockstar at punting and he loves to sit on the ball, or balance one foot on the ball.  More soccer in his future for sure.

Taffe did not want to take soccer since this was the 4/5's class does not require parent participation.  Turns out, he LOVED soccer.  He was fantatsic at following directions for all the drills, and he loved making goals.  Here is about to score...
... In the goal! High five from Coach Glen!

Snapshot of Our Life

A picture from Mother's Day, that quite nicely captures our life with the 3 kiddos.

Thomas the Train Sighting

Just when I think I have the most train-obsessed children, I was amazed to find out at the Day Out With Thomas, there are bigger fanatics.  The boys wore their favorite Thomas gear and we got to meet Sir Toppham Hat, wear Thomas tatoos (Percy for Kingston) and ride a train pulled by Thomas.  Very fun for the boys, and Mae Ruth seemed to enjoy sleeping through most of the adventure.

Super Why Live!

A afternoon with daddy, with an ice cream sandwich AND donuts? Oh, and seeing the characters of Super Why on stage?  Perfect!  Taffe loved every second.  Well prepared for the dark of the show, Taffe and Christopher had flashlights... and coordinating capes.

The land of cheese, and our Peeps!

Our roots run deep in the great state of Wisconsin.  My entire mother's side still resides out there, including my grandmother.  With Mae Ruth being named after Buscia, or great-grandma Ruth, we knew we need to make a trip.

Four generations!
Mae Ruth was her typcial wonderful and peaceful self.  She was cuddled and held by everyone and she was perfectly happy during the whole trip!  Thank you to all of our family for making effort to spend time with us!
