Tea Time

We brought in the New Year at a tea house with Taffe's best girl.  Taffe was by far the most into the tea.  He loved the sugar cubes and probably had 7 cups of very sweet, milky tea!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Super fun times to have Grandma and Grandpa stay with us for the weekend.  We made a trek downtown to the Botanical Grdens, cause well, there are trains tehre.  We geared up in our new train gear (thanks GaGa!) and met cousins Tommy and Charlie.

That night we did everything to make sure Santat would come to our house.  Reindeer food, letters, cookies and read The Night before Christmas.

Successful Santa!

Maybe not huge smiles, but NO tears, and no parent in the photo!  Our boys are growing up!

You know it's Christmas when...

...the big blow-up characters appear outside our door!
The tree is up, and thankfully, we got another tall one!  Someone was trying to get me to downsize... but a tall tree is just what we needed!

First Haircut!

It was time!  After a long debate, finally, Christopher agreed Kingston could get a trim.

Kingston loved the whole experience... meaning the 2 lollipops!

Meeting Santa

Every year, one of the parents has to be in the picture as there is a reluctant child. This year, it was Kingston.  He was NOT feeling the hand off to a random bearded man.  Taffe, on the other hand was shockingly friendly and verbose.  Our big boy spoke clearly and told Santa specifically what he wants.  I hope Santa brings the exact train, tracks and station that he asked for!

Dad's Day

Christopher got to accompany Taffe to school on Veteran's Day, and of course they had a wonderful time.  Kingston was definitely a little disappointed that he didn't get to tag along.
At the playground, Taffe ran into buddy Jack... wish I could hear what they were discussing so seriously!

Aunt Fran

Another busy weekend with a visit from Aunt Fran.  Kingston was fascinated by her, and took to her immediately.

Family Matters

After the Superstorm Sandy hit the Northeast, we were all feeling very grateful that everyone in our family was safe. Safe, and no major damage. Big relief! Many family members in NY, CT and NJ were left without power, we begged them to come down for a warm place to stay. We were delighted when the Kings came down for a visit which was just wonderful for the cousins to be together again!

The boys had a fantastic time together!  Gavin was awesome with his costumes... he literally wore a costume from the moment he woke up until bedtime. Here he is as Jake!

Peter Pan came to visit too!

We hit up Cox Farms for some slides and pumpkin smashing.  Dylan & Gavin were non-stop running up and down the slides. Taffe was lukewarm to the slides... but Kingston was loving the slides!  If only he could keep up with his big cousins!!

Crazy boys!

Sweet Vivian stayed bundled up and just happy as can be!

We put the boys to work when at home!  They actually raked up a considerable amount of leaves.... who doesn't love making and jumping into a leaf pile?!

This picture of K &V cracks me up!  Kingston loved pointing to Vivian and declaring "Baby!" It looks like she had enough of that right here!

Come back soon King family! And happy 10th anniversary S&K!

Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween!  The boys were totally into Halloween this year and we talked about the holiday for weeks!  Once Taffe saw a Thomas the Train costume... he was sold.  No surprise there.  He would have liked us all to be engineers and trains, luckily Christopher was in on the theme.

Lil Dinosaur and Care Bear Mom
Both Taffe and Kingston were totally into the traick or treating aspect.
Kingston really just liked selecting a candy which he would grasp intently, until he arrived at the next house, where he we drop the old candy and take a new one.  We didn't come home with much candy due to that method.

Candy!
While we were out in the neighborhood, Grandma hung back and answered the door.   After a little sugar high and K's first taste of real candy, the boys were sound asleep!
