Trek to Kingston
Our annual trek up to Kingston, NY was fun and memorable as always. Mae Ruth had her first taste of cabin life, and we experienced our first big trip as a family of 5. Beyond our family of 5, were the cousins, grandparents, great aunts and uncles; it was wonderfully wild. Kingston and Mae Ruth enjoyed getting lots of attention from adults whereas Taffe just wanted to be with his big cousins, nonstop. He just loved that his cousin were over in cabin 3, we hardly saw him for the week!

happy retirement!
What better than BOTH grandmothers retiring at the same time?! For Grandma, we attended her school party and also hosted a party at our home.
For Nana, only Christopher was able to attend her school retirement party, but we look forward to her big party in the fall!

Beach buds
3 moms, 8 children, all away at the beach? Yes, it was pure mayhem and wonderfully fun, exhausting and totally worth the effort.

Father of 3!
I'd like to say we made C breakfast in bed, or at least let him sleep in on Father's Day.... hmmm, nope that didn't happen. But we did shower him with homemade projects, and the children did all ask him for 6 different things each during meals just to make sure he felt really special. :)
We are so lucky to have Christopher as the Daddy in our family... he is always up for playtime and each child feels like the luckiest in the world when they are with him.

Strawberries
Evidently, the idea of strawberry picking was extremely enticing. The boys and I headed to the farm and the excitement continued... until we actually walked into the strawberry patch. At this point Taffe simply stated, "It's too scratchy. I don't like it."
Sigh.
Luckily, Kingston was thrilled with the strawberry patch. "RED!!! There's one!!! RED!!!" And after picked the reddest berries, he'd say, "Did it!!!! More!!"
(and it was an agreed upon pajama day)
