Animal Farm

During one of the gorgeous fall days last week, I took Taffe to a local farm to check out the animals. The first animal he saw received a very loud greeting of "BOOOOOOO!" Which in Taffe language is "moo." (Still working on those bilabial sounds.)
He was curious about most animals and loved the birds, as always. He's checking out some peacocks here by giving them a "Cheep-cheep" greeting.

But, he is not a fan of the animals we could get close to! Even the stinky little piglets, he wanted nothing to do with them!

We took home some miniature farm animals to keep the lesson alive, and they are a favorite new toy!

The Next Mark Sanchez

In case you are not forced to watch "Hardknocks" the Jets tv show, Mark Sanchez is a quarterback... one day to be replaced by Taffe. Taffe practices throwing and catching while jumping off an elevated surface. Slightly dangerous, but hey, the Jets don't hand out contracts to just anyone!

Up State Michigan

What do you get when you send 19 people way up north to live together for 5 days? Lots of good food, good times, and a million great pictures. Here is a shot of the whole Ruddy clan.

Jammin' Out

Hands down, the coolest place for tots in Vienna: Jammin' Java. Live music daily, with kids rockin' out. We hit this place up almost weekly, since it seems to be the only way I see live music these days! :) And come on, who doesn't love to see their kid learning how to groove?!

Beach Babies

We brought 2 cuties down with us to the beach. Taffe was in heaven with 2 playmates around to play with 24-7!
Nothing better than a shower to cool you off on a hot day at the beach!

The ocean was still like a magnet for Taffe, pulling him to run as fast as he could run to the crashing waves.

We had evening such a nice time with evening strolls on the sand, and dinner out, followed by girl chat once the kids went to bed!

And who knew my little guy was such a window shopper? He LOVED peering into the windows and oggling the "stuff." This might be the last summer before he begs me to buy him all the precious items!
