Beachin' It

Oh the life of Taffe... the beach and ice cream, who could ask for more?
Once Grandpa learned Taffe loved ice cream, he was sure to have it on hand.

We visited the beach...

and Uncle Jack and Auntie Betsy were visiting from Wisconsin. Taffe loved playing with his WI relatives.

Our Secret Garden

Hello out there! It's been busy unpacking and we were away in Kingston, but we love being home. Taffe now has a driveway where he can ride on his toys. Lucky little guy!
One of the features that attracted us to our new house was the immaculate gardens. Every neighbor, and even the UPS delivery man have told me, "She (previous owner) was out there, all the time!" Yikes... a bit of a daunting task, but we adore out secret garden.

And Taffe loves smelling the flowers.

Jolly Cow

Ahhhh, summer. For all McGarrigals summer is synonymous with The Jolly Cow.
I think he likes it.

Many more happy times to come at The Jolly Cow. And let's not forget about Christophers Hollywood debut here... ask him about it next time you see him!

Home Sweet Home

Moving in tomorrow!!!! Taffe was just thrilled to run around the open, empty spaces. Moving in will surely be chaotic, but just plain great. Can't wait for Taffe to realize that this is his new home.

With a Little Help from my Friends

We are so fortunate to have truly wonderful friends. We totally took advantage of the generous nature of the Ally & Christian and moved in for a few weeks until we close on our new house. It's been awesome. We cook for one another, take turns grocery shopping and have constant playmates for the kids. We're not sure why we're leaving!

The kids are in heaven. They are obsessed with each other. Jack wakes up saying Taffe's name, and even climbs in to keep Taffe company during nap.
Jack and Maggie have taught Taffe so much. He is now a pro at going down stairs and has become more adventurous with food. They have also taught him how to be an artist.

Taffe drew his very first picture with markers, and was very excited. He kept trying to smell the markers.

The kids all love dramatic play. Taffe likes to cook in the kitchen while Maggie and Jack love dress-up. Check out Jack's sparkly shoes.

Whether we were running through the sprinklers,

Or splashing at the pool,

We are going to miss living with our friends. Taffe loves having playmates and pushing the baby doll stroller with Maggie.

Christopher and I are so thankful we have wonderful friends who welcomed us and didn't seem to mind the added chaos. As a family of 8, we ate a lot, and laughed even more!

1 year and a few weeks

Happy Birthday to Sydney! Taffe's only girlfriend that's actually smaller than him just turned one. And what a cutie she is with a pink plaid dress and a pink stroller she shared with Taffe.
And just because she's small, doesn't mean that she doesn't like to eat! She thoroughly enjoyed chomping down on her own little cake.

A big shout out to S.S. Hunt... Saylor, the newest of the Hunt boys. He is all cheeks and perfectness. He slept the entire four hours that I visited. Congrats to Niki and all 4 of her boys!

Fearless...Mem Day at the Beach

We learned something about our little guy over Memorial Day weekend. He is fearless. LOVED the ocean. Cold water and crashing waves are not at all intimidating, but enticing.

We manage to distract from running full-speed into the ocean with some sand toys. But that would only last for so long.

There will be no relaxing at the beach for this season. But if you want to hear pure joy and squeals of laughter, come join us at the beach.
